nopCommerce
Legacy .NET replatform to nopCommerce
The Florida State Golf Association ran on a custom .NET platform built twelve years earlier that Microsoft no longer supported. The site's main job is golf tournament sign-ups, so the replacement had to handle traffic spikes, take payments securely, and work properly on phones. I was part of the team that moved it onto nopCommerce.

What went into it
-
Replatforming off unsupported .NET
The previous site was a bespoke .NET application at the end of its life. Moving to nopCommerce put it on a maintained platform with a real upgrade path instead of a codebase that could no longer be safely extended.
-
Checkout for volunteer memberships
Worked on the nopCommerce checkout during the migration, specifically fitting the purchase of a volunteer membership into the checkout workflow.
-
Volunteer sign-up form
Worked on the volunteer form on the front end.
-
Admin customizations
Custom updates to the nopCommerce admin area.
-
Search and responsive theme
Worked on the site's search, and with the creative team on the responsive templates and theme customization. The site runs a custom nopCommerce theme rather than an off-the-shelf one.
-
Recognized work
The redesign and relaunch won a 2024 WebAward, where I was listed as a backend team member. nopCommerce also published a case study on the project. Links:
